NO SHOW POLICY
If you notice a NS1, NS2, NS3 on your or others user name. Please see below:
What does that mean you wonder... Well it means you've either cancelled within 24 hrs without contacting the organizers either before or after the event, did not have a relative reason for cancelling, have had repeated beahviours of RSVPing YES but mean "maybe" or you held a spot on the event listing and didn't show up at all!
For the enjoyment of all our members we cannot in kindness continue to provide membership to those users - once a member reaches NS3, you'll be dropped and banned from this group. We hate to have to do it but unfortunately you will have proved to us and this community that you're not a reliable member.
We want everyone to have a chance to get out and enjoy themselves, so when you are holding a spot that another member could have but you don't intend to use and organizers are worried about you and looking for you upon attendance it puts us all in a pickle. So we do hope that you all understand our reasoning to keep our group as healthy and current as possible with reliable membership

MEETUP ETIQUETTE
Rules Policies
These rules have evolved over the years, and the organizers hope everyone can responsibly comprehend and comply accordingly. These were created for the utmost enjoyment of everyone.
‘Yes’ RSVPs:
If you fail to show up for an event for which you RSVP’d ‘yes’, you may lose VIP status. If something happens which makes it impossible for you to make it, just email the organizer of the event either before the event, or within 24 hours afterward. Meetup keeps a record of no-shows; once you have accumulated three no-shows, the organizers have the option to remove you from the group. A ban may or may not be applied, at the discretion of the organizer involved. Removal from this group would not prevent membership in other groups within meetup.
‘Maybe’ RSVPs:
‘Maybe’ RSVPs are not posted in our events for a reason ;) we want to ensure you truly have the ability to show up when you say you will. So you will rarely see this on our meetup event RSVP's list. Should you rsvp yes and comment "maybe" in your rsvp this will be regarded as ‘No’ until you are certain you can attend If you RSVP "maybe" for an event, please remember to log in and change your RSVP to ‘yes’ or remain ‘no’ before the deadline. Organizers may, at their discretion, change a "maybe" to a ‘no’ or put the member on the waiting list if the spot is needed by someone else.
‘No’ RSVPs:
If your RSVP is ‘no’, or you do not RSVP at all, please do not just show up at the event location. The organizer would have already made arrangements for a certain number of people, and the venue may not be prepared to add any more.
No-shows:
A no-show is a member who RSVPs ‘Yes’, but does not show up at the event. Attending the event but not meeting the organizer will be regarded as not showing up.
VIP status:
This label indicates that you are very reliable, and will always honour your RSVPs. New members can achieve VIP status by attending all events they sign up for. Some events will be restricted to VIP members only. VIP labels appearing on someone’s profile will be only VIP if they have earned it. Let us know if you think we've over looked you and we'd be happy to check your statistics and see if you qualify for our amazing VIP status ;D
NS1, NS2, NS3 Labels:
Should undesirable circumstances have presented themselves to you and you feel you have been labeled a no-show unfairly, please contact us directly, we would be happy to work with you to help you make contacts with other members to ensure transportation buddy systems, carpools or meeting people in your area if you felt fearful to come out to your first few events. We want you to feel comfortable and we hate saying goodbye to members so w do want to do whatever we can to help ease the no-show situation before we have to cut the final ties and submit a removal from the group. Please let us know, be proactive! We want to help and we want you to stay and enjoy your membership with us fo as long as you can!
Unwanted contact:
Any uninvited contact is not allowed. Should any organizer receive a complaint in this regard, the alleged offender will be made aware that there was a complaint. The identity of the person making the complaint will NOT be revealed. Should there be further complaints, the alleged offender WILL be removed from the group. If you are receiving unwanted advances, let one of the organizers know as soon as possible.
Event hosts:
Occasionally, an organizer will not be able to attend an event, or may need some help managing the event. In that case, an event host may be appointed. Event hosts may are allowed to contact ONLY those who RSVP 'Yes' for the event. They cannot collect fees, and are not allowed to promote any other event to any member during the 'Event Host' period. Once the event is over, the event host’s status will be automatically returned to ‘Member’.
The organizers retain the right to adjust the rules at any time without prior notice.
Kindly,
Anthony &
Alison, your "proud as punch" happy, shiny Organizers!
